THE JOURNEY

God has been so Good , He has answered our prayers,  the time of waiting is over (for now). It's been a long season of waiting, thought it would never end. All the answers weren't what we wanted   but  God Knows exactly what He is doing  and working all things to Good for His Glory with His Perfect timing not mine which is shortsighted anyway.  Well to be more specific we didn't win the court battle we waited and appealed for, that would have gotten our finances turned around and then some, I did get a job that is way different  then I would have ever thought or imagined. I first was led to volunteer when I heard about this place through our Church, then applied to work there when I saw they had an opening. So am now working in the inner city of Edmonton, Canada with the homeless, street and people in crises of life with great need and are in transition. Today I am so Thankful, my gratefulness to God is over flowing, After waiting over 3 yr I now have been approved by  Immigration, I am now both a US Citizen as well as a Canadian Landed Immigrant!  After looking and applying for jobs for a very long time, applying day after day on line with only a few interview's out of hundreds of applications and no call  backs, I have been given a Gift from God, my heart desire to work for a ministry and with people in need, building relationships and being right where God can use me,  I can Join God in what he is doing there in the lives of broken and people that are in need and hurting in the large inner city of Edmonton   Also I am very thankful for my wife and all her praying for me, for living in north America were we are so blessed with the convenience of every day life. and that God has given us more then every thing we need. (not every thing we want) Personally I will work on being even more Thankful to God and to Worship Him and gi

My youngest daughter lives with my sister and her husband (In the U.S.A.) far away from were I live, (In Canada) I haven't seen here in a year, I wanted so much to be there for her and spend some time together (but I haven't found a way to afford air fare at this time:)  I miss her so much  she is such a special little princes and growing up so fast. She has been working with Horses and has a way with them, its been good therapy for her.  I will keep praying for the funds to go see her and with God all things are possible! , I talk to her on the phone but not as much as I would like to.  She is with a wonderful Christian family that  Love Jesus  and Have a  Biblical world view  so are values are the same, She has always been in a good Loving environment.  She has some mental and developmental  struggles which can   be very overwhelming  to anyone she is involved with  and I can never express how deeply thankful I am to my sister an her family for all they have done and are

" A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another;as I have loved you,that ye also love one another."  Hello world I know I haven't done much blogging lately, I Have been to busy, even obsessed  at getting my computer to work optimally with Google Chrome.  It was very  busy at the food bank on Thursday, and last Monday at the coffee bar,  where  I volunteer with the Mustard seed, It is so awesome to work for God and to be a part of a team who wants to show and share Gods Love by serving and building relationships in the community,  Joining with God in what He wants to do around and through us if we just surrender to His will. I Love being in unity with the purposes of the Kingdom of heaven.  I have been waiting all week for a answer to a job opportunity,  I really  feel like its were God has called me ("For such a time as this") so I could use some prayer. Thanks!!! to those led by the Holy Spirit to Pray for the saints and the workers

I think when things go wrong or when we are waiting on God for something, (especially if it's ending up to be a long wait) we wonder if we screwed up  or took a wrong turn on the proverbial path of life and if so is there a way back? can we get back to where we should be or did we screw things up for good?   If we are trusting in God's promises we must not get too discouraged even when we screw thing up (and at times we always will) "God can work all things for Good, who Love Him and are called to His Plan" If we remain teachable and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us we will inevitably become and think more like Jesus over the Years. We will worry less about ourselves and more about the will of the Father's Kingdom and want to join in His plan to bring the Love and His Truth to those that cross our paths, not by accusing, blaming or preaching at them, but building relationships and allowing the Holy Spirit to complete where He is working in their lives and a

 Well this is were it all happens, were I do a lot of praying, keeping informed, looking for a job, and get the Inspiration to write my Blog. 2 of  my Loving adorable granddaughters (seen here) Love the office, lots to get into grabbing paper from the printer and a pin of the desk to draw, sometimes I go to Disney play house or Nick Jr. and the wait with awe and appreciation as a picture to color comes magically out of the printer. But the favorite is the guitar were the can make music and they love to dance!   I went to my Job interview at the Mustered seed today that's were I have been volunteering they are a non profit Org. that is multifaceted for providing need to the homeless, hurting, and or less fortunate. They offer a food bank, serve 300 to 400 dinners a night offer affordable housing, connect folks in need to other programs they have a job program a mentoring and helping  reintegration for those coming out of jail, a donation center, were clothes and needs can be p

This Journey were all on is filled with a life time of learning and change, sometimes fast sometimes slow. Its a progressive involvement from the experience and choices we make. Some say "they will never change" some have built strongholds or habits that are so deeply ingrained that probably only God could help them change, if they asked Him to and believe ("He could and would if he were sought.)  For some this change is a miracle that happens "suddenly" put for most it is a process that might take days, months or in my case many years. For me my self-will and stubbornness kept me in bondage in a lot of areas for over 35 years with many small victory's but lots of set backs, relapses and failures.  But I never gave up! every day I would Pray, reach out try to be a "OVERCOMER" no mater how many times I fell short I would eventually try again and you know what? Do you hear God? How does god speak to us? I have found that the Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our Father in Heaven speak to us constantly every day! He says He will never leave us that he is a constant companion. When I ask God about things I don't very often "feel" like I am getting a answer, but what we feel isn't always the best gauge any way. God speaks to us in so many ways and I find it seems to be a trend of sorts, (over time very often)  The Holy Spirit might bring a thought from the Bible then we hear it through a teacher of the word or a song seems to speak to us in some way. we hear it again on TV, then a Friend or relative seems to be wondering the same thing or is on the same issue and we go to church and hear it again.  I always want a answer right away, sometimes we get it, but mostly God timing seems to be different then ours, but God is always perfect in his timing. Lots of times things even get worse before they get better, then it comes to the matter

It seems to me that darkness is always trying to cover up the light, but the light wont have it, the Light is stronger and will always eventually dispel the darkness. Unlike my early days were I always wanted everything to be fixed right now! God has matured me, (over a very long time and very  slow progression) to be able to better wait things out. To move with the tide instead of against it you might say. Gods promises are coming exactly when they are supposed to. In the interim hopefully I might just learn a thing a or two along the way. Today I try to listen more then talk, encourage more then criticize and most of all try not to react to quickly to things, people or circumstance, for I have noticed things have a way of working themselves out. I have been waiting six months to hear on a SS benefit hearing from the state's and just found out I was denied.  I have been looking for a job for almost a year and have become very humbled in this attempt. When I was younger and more confident I was positive I could go out and find a job anywhere any time. In resort sales I was one of the best and people were always offering me jobs and I could work anywhere.  Today I applied for several jobs on the Internet and pray God will open a door and show me favor, I am a little baffled as to why he hast led me to a good job already? But I have every confidence that a great job is out there for me and soon I will be working and thank full for answered prayer! I have been volunteering at the mustered seed and my church, keep the house clean (most the time) and have had the wonder full Blessing of wacthing my granddaughters a lot building a great relationships with them I will keep on doing my part and applying for obs until I find o

Last night we had are darling granddaughters, Rorie and Audrey overnight, it is such a blessing to learn all over the wisdom and simple faith of children.  It has taken me over 40 some years to develop the habit of praying every morning before I start my day,(after I grab a cup of coffee of course)  I use a prayer I learned that goes like this " God I offer myself to you to build with me and do with me as you will, relive me from the bondage of self, talk away my difficulty's that victory over them may bare witness to those I may help of your Love your Power and your way of live, may I do your will aways"  Then I will pray more from my heart and ask the Holy Spirit to be with me and guide me. I remind myself that today is a new day and I should live it to its utmost! I remind myself to be thank full of all of Gods Blessings and try to Kindle the Hope that maybe Today my answers to things I am waiting for or maybe all

Shortly after being prayed for by some Christan brothers to baptized in the Holy spirit (The indwelling of the redemptive power of God to Help and Guide us on our Journey) There seemed to be a Spiritual Vail lifted I could feel the powers of good and evil in a new way. The Holy Spirit would seem to lead me to talk or say something to some one or simply to pray for a person or situation, I could now sense a spiritual warfare going on as I went about my everyday life. There was one night I had a dream: I was in a beautiful park siting on the ground with several people praying, all of a sudden a young woman started to curse, blaspheme, yelling in what sounded like many voices angrily thrashing about, everyone stoped praying and I thought some one needs to cast out this demon! when no one else did anything I stood up and said boldly "I command you to come out of this girl in Jesus name!" immediately she started convulsing violently then it seemed to leave her as she fell to the

When I was a teenager,  I got into some big trouble with the law, after a hitchhiking  adventure with a friend and our girlfriends.  I ended up in court and my Dad had found a way to get me into a non profit mission Org. called youth with a mission, in Lew of jail time. (This was a place for people that loved God and wanted to serve Him, they had never took a "Troubled Kid" as it were before)  I had always Loved God despite the fact I had been living the rebellious life "drinking, sex,  drugs and Rock and Roll" and was very much against authority. During this time however I never quit asking my self the "Age old Questions"Why, What when and were???   There were dorms were I had a bunk I remember a young man taking to me about how he was a homosexual and was empty and dead inside until he gave his heart to God and was filled with the Holy Spirit he said "Jesus shed his sweet precious Innocent Blood to pay for our crimes and restore us to God our  

   The 'good news' of Jesus Christ is the gospel message that Jesus did what we cannot do - He died as a substitute in our place to make atonement for our sins and put all who believe or trust in Him into a right relationship with God. I am finding a great desire to share more of my experiences, failures and trials of my life how God has been with me through them and that just maybe others will find hope and encouragement and reach out to God and each other for help. We need each other and we all need a healing touch in areas of are life or encouragement just to make it though one more day.  So today I PRAY THAT YOU FIND HOPE AND BE ENCOURAGED!

I heard a great story I would like to share with you today.  A man was on a journey, just going about life, following his own path. All seemed well for a while the sun was shining and he was happy most the time but he always felt like something was missing in his life. Along the the way he started feeling empty and a bit sick, he was getting very tired, He noticed some dark clouds coming and could sense a storm approaching but he kept on going even though he started noticing he was lost. Suddenly there was  great lightning bolts across the darkening sky as he was not watching where he was walking he fell into a deep pit. He was all alone and it was getting colder, darker then it started to rain.  The man was discouraged, empty, and felt foolish for ending up in this mess. He started to look for a way out but found it was to deep and the sides were slippery and he fell into a deep despair, He was stuck.  After sometime the clouds turned gray and he felt a numbing al
